Hi babe,
Let’s drop into the heart today.
Mētta is an ancient Pali word that means loving-kindness.
It’s not performative. It’s not about perfection.
It’s a heart-centered practice of unconditional love: for yourself, for others, and even for the ones who are hard to love.
Mētta meditation is one of the simplest, most powerful ways to return to your center, clear your energy, and radiate love outward. It's the energetic version of putting your oxygen mask on first... then lighting up the plane.
So here’s your invitation:
Commit to 365 days of practicing LOVE.
Let’s raise the light and vibration together through this powerful daily ritual.
Our prayers and energy will make the world brighter.
As Jack Kornfield says:
“Go through the day as if you were the Dalai Lama undercover.”
So let’s do that.
🧘♀️ The Practice:
Sit in silence. Close your eyes.
Imagine a light coming from a huge, extravagant source.
Let that light move through the top of your head and into your entire body.
Let it fill you. Surround you. Illuminate you.
When you feel that glow inside and out, offer your prayer:
May I be filled with love, kindness, and joy.
May I be safe from inner and outer dangers.
May I be vibrantly healthy: body, energy, spirit.
May I feel deep peace and ease.
May I receive this light of Mētta and be a light to my family, to my friends, and in this world.
Now, see and feel the light around you expand.
Let it become a huge orb of loving energy.
Welcome the ones you love into it.
Your family, your friends, your pets. Even those you love on the other side.
Surround them with your light.
Offer your prayer again:
May YOU be filled with love, kindness, and joy.
May you be safe from inner and outer dangers.
May you be vibrantly healthy—body, energy, spirit.
May you feel deep peace and ease.
May you receive this light of Mētta and be a light to your family, to your friends, and in this world.
Finally, stretch this love even further.
Send the light to people who are hurting.
To those in pain. To those suffering.
Let your compassion reach them.
Offer the prayer one last time:
May YOU be filled with love, kindness, and joy.
May you be safe from inner and outer dangers.
May you be vibrantly healthy—body, energy, spirit.
May you feel deep peace and ease.
May you receive this light of Mētta and be a light to your family, to your friends, and in this world.
✨ That’s it. That’s the practice.
Five minutes. Infinite ripple effect.
Here’s to being undercover Dalai Lamas.
Here’s to loving like it’s our job.
Here’s to light, always.
With love,
Groovy G
