Everything we experience inside the body, within the mind, or in our lives, is merely trying to communicate something grander and deeper to us, much like a dream.
A waking one this life is.
The communication looks different every day and every moment.
It comes through pain, hardship, and confusion. It also comes through pleasure, movement, it comes through strength.
It may be difficult to look at and analyze, that I know. But when we do, we learn, we grow, and then we evolve. We step into our hearts and operate from that space.
Possibly the easiest route to spiritual growth and awakening is to REMAIN OPEN.
Remaining open with each and every cell of our being.
Remain open to this communication that is trying to be transmitted on through.
Remain open to the pain.
Remain open to the sacredness of the now.
Remain open to letting each moment be a lesson.
Remain open to new experiences and lovers.
Remain open to the bliss that can be felt inside, generated through truly listening and knowing oneself.
Remain open to grander ways of living.
Remain open to miracles and magic.
Remain open.
Today’s Practice: Grounding Love In
We are looking at self-sabotage behaviors and patterns in ourselves.
Why do we take love away?
Let’s look at our inner pain body. (The body keeps the score!)
None of our self-sabotage patterns create more love. And how does this bleed into our relationships with others? The way you love yourself is the way you love others.
Helpful Tips:
- write out your self-sabotage behaviors when things start to go well
- it’s all about embodiment. in the moment. being.
Takeaway: When you are in the space of “everything is feeling so beautiful,” pick a space on your body, any place, and push on your body to create a physical sensation and ANCHOR in that feeling. So that you remember it. The strengthened association allows you to harness that feeling and feed it every time you feel that feeling again. That spot becomes a way for you to ‘trigger’ that positive feeling.
Example: Place two fingers an inch below your belly button, mentally visualizing the center of your solar plexus, holding it or tapping the spot — and referencing it whenever you may begin to feel uneasy as a method for grounding.
Plant-Powered Meal of the Day
Treat yourself to the creamiest cashew mac-n-cheese (blender required!)
Ingredients:
For the cashew cream cheese:
1 cup raw cashews, soaked overnight*
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
For the mac and cheese:
1 lb macaroni pasta
2 tbsp vegan butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups unsweetened non-dairy milk
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp ground turmeric
Salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Start by making the cashew cream cheese. Drain and rinse the soaked cashews and add them to a blender along with the water, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Cook the macaroni pasta according to the package instructions and set aside.
In a large saucepan, melt the vegan butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour to make a roux and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Gradually whisk in the non-dairy milk, garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until it thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the cashew cream cheese until it's melted and fully incorporated.
Add the cooked macaroni to the sauce and stir until it's well coated.
Serve the vegan mac and cheese hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
Enjoy your delicious and creamy vegan mac and cheese with cashew cream cheese!
*If you have a high-powered blender such as a Vitamix, you can skip the step of soaking your cashews overnight and just let them sit in close to boiling water for 5 minutes.
Paradigm Shift
The shadow of commitment is force.
Instead of devoting yourself to your work, you force it out.
Instead of devoting yourself to your spiritual practice, you force yourself to show up.
Instead of devoting yourself to vitality, you force yourself on a diet and to the gym.
And that... thats not magnetic.
Force repels energy.
Try forcing a flower to bloom.
Or instead, devoting to it by feeding it water and love every day.
See the difference?
Force goes against nature.
And nature is who and what you are.
Abundance is nature itself.
And it can’t be forced either.
You can’t force yourself to inspire the world.
That kind of savior complex is not adding NOTHING to this place.
Find the sexy in devotion.
In dharma.
And it’s subtle.
So you have to be present. And aware.
And devote yourself to YOU.
With super sexy self care and all my love,
Groovy Girl 🦋
