Welcome to Day 7! Let’s spice it up and bit. We’re gonna get a little intimate…
As we continue our journey towards self-care and self-love, there is one topic that we often overlook, but that is crucial to our overall well-being: self-pleasure.
Self-pleasure is not just a sexual act; it is the foundation of all sexual activity and a healthy relationship with ourselves and others. It allows us to release the ‘clingy’ (nope!), ‘desperate’ (not you!), and ‘codependent’ (ick!) need for others to satisfy us all the time. When we take care of our sexual needs first, we become magnetic to our partners and the world.
But self-pleasure is not just about achieving the Big O. It's about accessing a part of our being that has no fear, no separation from God, no scarcity, and no self-judgment. It's about feeling pleasure and being attentive to our bodies as we would want a lover to be.
Treat yourself with the care and affection you would receive from your partner.
Things to remember:
Self pleasure is the foundation of all sexual activity AND a healthy relationship.
It allows us to release the clingy, desperate, and codependent need for others to satisfy us all the time.Â
Nobody is responsible for your pleasure.
When you take care of your sexual needs first, you become magnetic to your partner and the world.
Feeling pressure to orgasm can make people less willing to have sex because they think they might not be able to climax.
Talk to yourself to allow yourself to soften and receive pleasure.
Be as ATTENTIVE to your body as you’d want a lover to
Numbing your sexual desire in the face of rejection is letting others preferences create your life.
Living through pleasure means trusting in the anchor of your positive sensations.Â
Flirting is all about dissipating your disability to be in connection.Â
Your seduction IS your aliveness IS your power
When we learn to make love to ourselves, and really engage our bellies and our hearts, we are making love to our very essence of being.
Plant-Based Meal of the Day
Today’s meal is easy to make if you already have a variety of veggies. Our recipe features farro, an ancient grain with loads of nutrients! (More about it at the end.)
Farro Salad with Roasted Vegetables and Lemon-Tahini Dressing
Ingredients:
1 cup farro
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 small eggplant, diced
1 small zucchini, diced
1 small red onion, sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
For the Lemon-Tahini Dressing:
1/4 cup tahini
Juice of 1 lemon
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons water
Salt and pepper
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Cook the farro according to package instructions.
Toss the sliced bell peppers, diced eggplant, diced zucchini, and sliced red onion with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread the vegetables in a single layer on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until tender and lightly browned.
In a large bowl, mix together the cooked farro, roasted vegetables, chopped parsley, chopped mint, and chopped basil.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, water, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
Pour the dressing over the farro and vegetable mixture and toss until everything is coated.
Serve warm or chilled.
Farro is an ancient grain that has been enjoyed for thousands of years. It is a type of wheat that is high in fiber, protein, and complex carbohydrates, making it a great source of sustained energy. Farro is also rich in important minerals such as iron, magnesium, and zinc, as well as B vitamins. It has a nutty flavor and a chewy texture that make it a great addition to salads, soups, and grain bowls. Plus, it's vegan and gluten-free, making it a versatile ingredient for a variety of dietary needs.
To sweeten your evening, make yourself blushes and delicious vegan coconut oil cacao chocolate bar. It takes a little while to harden in the fridge, so make sure you give yourself ample time.
YUMMY Lucious and Irresistible (like you!!!)
Cacao Bar
Ingredients:
1/2 cup virgin coconut oil
1/2 cup cacao powder
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: 1/2 teaspoon dried lavender flowers and/or 1/2 teaspoon dried rose petals
Instructions:
Melt the coconut oil in a saucepan over low heat until it is completely liquid.
Add the cacao powder to the melted coconut oil and whisk until smooth.
Stir in the maple syrup and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
If using, stir in the dried lavender and/or rose petals.
Pour the mixture into a silicone chocolate bar mold or a small baking dish lined with parchment paper.
Place the mold or baking dish in the refrigerator and chill until the chocolate is firm, about 30-60 minutes.
Once the chocolate is firm, remove it from the mold or baking dish and cut it into bars or squares.
Store the chocolate bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Cacao is a great source of antioxidants and magnesium, and coconut oil contains healthy fats that can improve cholesterol levels and support brain function. Lavender and rose petals add a lovely floral flavor and aroma to the chocolate, and may also have calming and stress-reducing properties.
PLEASURE PRACTICE:
• Vaginal DeArmouring •
Similar to a deep tissue massage, dearmouring is a process of applying pressure to places of contraction and tightness inside the vaginal canal for the purpose of releasing physical, spiritual and emotional blockages.
During de-armouring, pressure spots are released, toxins are broken down and the blood flow is increased to the sexual tissues, so that emotional, physical, and psychological healing can take place.
TIPS FOR DEARMOURING
• The most important keys are to listen to your body, go slow and release judgment.
• Giving yourself permission to fully express your emotions throughout the massage is crucial. In fact, it’s the whole point! So allow tears, anger, rage, laughter to come up and out whenever it needs to. All is welcome!
• Orgasm is not the point here. Pleasure may arise and pain may also appear. Welcome both and express both.
• Try not to get trapped in over thinking, stay out of your head as much as you can and let your body just do its thing. Trust she knows what she needs to release and how to do it.
