No you don't need to drink a green juice every day for the rest of your life and no you don't need to live in Hawaii to detox effectively.
But there are a couple easy and fast techniques that you can do to have you feeling clean, radiant, and nourished from the inside out.
Daily detox is about supporting the liver and the digestive system, and making sure they are eliminating waste effectively.
While it's true that the liver is the body's own self cleaning device, it can become easily overwhelmed by toxins from our food supply, too much booze, over the counter and recreational drugs, birth control pills, cosmetics and body care products, and pollution.
If you suffer from PMS, weight gain, acne, joint pain, skin rashes, high cholesterol, depression or irritability, fatigue, or just generally feeling puffy or inflamed, a congested and overworked liver could be the culprit.
Longer and deeper cleansing, I recommend twice per year, around 14-24 days. But that doesn't mean to let go and forget about the bod day in and day out.
Simple daily rituals such as these help detoxify your body easily and effortlessly.

Helpful Reminders..
-- Drink a quart of water upon waking!
You can add in lemon juice, a pinch of Celtic sea salt, or even some aloe.
-- Dry Skin Body Brush toward your heart.
-- Get a tongue scraper- this is a must!!
-- Hot and cold showers!
-- SWEAT!
You can also..
-- Add fermented vegetables into your meals to support digestion with probiotics.
-- Drink herbal teas in-between meals.
-- Have a day of just smoothies or soups.
-- Incorporate cruciferous vegetables into your meals at least once daily.
-- Get enough fiber into your day to help support the elimination of toxins out of the liver.

Plant-powered recipe of the day:
GREEN SMOOTHIE HYDRATION
(in the spirit of detoxification!)
Ingredients
1/2 avocado
1 cup spinach
1 cup kale
1 cup water
1 tbsp. almond butter
1/2 banana
1 tbsp. flax seeds
Optional: 1 scoop greens based protein powder of your choice (I like Amazing Meal and Standard Process)
Optional: 1/2 cup strawberries (or berries of your choice)
Instructions
Always fill your blender with the liquid first, starting with 1 cup of water for this recipe.
Add thicker and more dense ingredients next, such as berries, banana, almond butter, and flax seeds.
Lastly, add the greens and avocado.
Blend and enjoy!
