There's nothing sexier, more relaxing, and healing than a divine and sacred bath time session.
I'm talking about any bath session, but I'm also talking about making this bath session super sacred and special. With the works.... the whole nine yards....
The more you give yourself, the better.
You deserve the finest care. You really do.
Tonight, when the sun goes down, run a warm bath for yourself. That's our ritual.
Here are my favorite things for sacred bath time:
-- Epsom Salts! Throw 1/2 cup into your water for a full body and organ detoxification. Simple.
-- Lavender Essential Oil. Relaxes the body and mind and smells divine! Add 5-10 drops to your bath water.
-- Coconut oil. This is if you want to make the space super sensual. Give yourself a massage.
-- Candles. Lights out. This is a must.
-- Some sage burning.
-- Raw honey: throw some of that in there too! Moisturizing, anti-aging, and anti-bacterial.
-- Raw Chocolate: An amazing heart opening addition to your relaxation. This is my favorite, and handmade by the lovely Edible Goddess herself!
-- Throw in some rose pedals to make it incredibly divine as well.
There is a small chance that this is an easy one for you: you know that this could be nourishing, but truthfully you haven't given it to yourself.
You are here because you need the push!
So, really give yourself this divine space tonight.
Close your eyes. Relax into the bliss of you.
Plant-powered recipe of the day:
UPDATED OATMEAL
Ingredients + Method
Make your gluten free oatmeal (3 cups water, 1/4 teaspoon sea salt, 1 cup steel cut oats). Bring water + salt to a rolling bowl, add oats, reduce heat to low and cook for 10-20 minutes. Whooola, it’s ready!
As an alternative, make a chia pudding by soaking several tablespoons organic chia seeds with pure water + salt (if you prefer no oats), OR just soak raw oats in wild spring water to soften before finishing the rest of the dish. So many options based on your preferences!
Let the oatmeal stand for 2 minutes before scooping into nice bowls, then drizzle with light swirl of top grade organic maple syrup, organic raw unfiltered honey, stevia, or even molasses. I love packing mine full of fruit as the sweetener as well :-) Include up to 1 teaspoon ground wild vanilla bean along with a few pinches of sea salt (to naturally bring out sweetness) and mix into oats. Gather up your toppings (fruit / coconut shreds / bee pollen / cacao nibs) and get to work! If you’ve got access to delicious tasting superfood or tonic herbal extract blends, now is the time to add 1-3 teaspoons of those in as well for even higher level nourishment.
Add your favorite organic fresh fruit, favoring seasonal produce that is local to you. I personally am obsessed with mangoes so really felt obligated to include it in this recipe even though it will unfortunately never be local to where I currently live. Seasons change, and so will the choices available to you!
Snap a picture to capture your happy upgraded oatmeal moment, make any last minute adjustments, and then sit with this bowl of health in your hands as you give thanks for the millions of reasons you have to be grateful, and eat with joy preferably with friends! Did you make enough for them? YUM.
